I Showed Up: Week 3: This is not going to be easy

This week has taught me a hard truth: showing up is not as easy as it sounds. While the phrase itself feels simple, the act of consistently being present — mentally, emotionally, and physically — is anything but straightforward. Obstacles will arise, some obvious and others disguised as opportunities.

I know I haven’t yet shared the reason behind this experiment, but I promise to get there soon. For now, the lessons are clear: focus on the goal, and remember that showing up has a way of revealing truths about yourself, your environment, your relationships, and — most importantly — your relationship with yourself.

January 19th Week 3 of 2025

Wins

  • Successfully completed the second phase of an interview process. Now, it’s a matter of waiting for the results.

Challenges

  • Experienced a difficult week filled with negative emotions.

  • Struggled to maintain a positive outlook despite efforts to stay grounded.

Current State

This week has been particularly challenging, marked by persistent negative feelings. While progressing through the second interview phase is a positive development, the overall mood has been affected by various difficulties.

Next Steps

  • Focus on self-care and mental well-being

  • Seek support when needed

  • Break down tasks into smaller, manageable pieces

Despite the current challenges, it’s important to acknowledge both the progress made and the temporary nature of difficult periods. Taking time to process these feelings while maintaining forward momentum will be crucial.
